- Olive oil: or any cooking oil
- Species: I have used a simple combination of smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning
- Coriander leaves or parsley and lemon juice for garnishing

How To Make Air Fryer Chicken Breast
Just like our grilled chicken breast, you’ll want to add this juicy air fryer chicken recipe to your weekly helathy chicken roundups.
- Prep: Preheat the air fryer to 380℉. Rub the chicken breast with olive oil on both sides.
- Make the spice mix: take a small bowl and combine garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning (homemade recipe), salt, and pepper.
- Season the Chicken breast: Sprinkle a generous amount of the spice mix over the chicken breast and gently rub it.
- Air Fry: Place chicken breast on the air fryer basket (ensuring they don’t overlap) or cook them in batches if required. Cook for about 16-19 minutes, flipping after 10 minutes.
How Long Should You Cook Chicken In An Air Fryer?

Cook the chicken breast for about 10 minutes, turn them over and cook for another 6 to 8 minutes. Now with a kitchen thermometer, check the internal temperature of the cooked chicken breast; it should read 165F or 75C.
Tips and Tricks
- Continuously flip the chicken breast halfway through the cooking to ensure it cooks evenly.
- Be sure to check the temperature of the chicken a few minutes before the cooking time to ensure it does not overcook.
- Do not forget to grease the air fryer basket to prevent the spice mix and chicken from sticking.
- Let the cooked chicken breast sit for 5 minutes before slicing it to make it extra flavourful and juicy.
